keyboard contact repair
contact error repair for these types
The Commodore Service undertakes the repair of the Commodore 16, Plus 4, 116, 64, 128, the Amiga CD32 controller, the CBM PET, and the Videoton TVC.
Unfortunately, we've come across lots of Commodore and TVC keyboards lately, and cleaning them didn't bring the expected results. The keys were still hard to press or didn't work at all.
We do Commodore and TVC keyboard contact surface repair with self-mixed graphite mixture and test them for at least 6 months (with clients too) before the type gets shared.
The keyboard types have been tried out and been tested on dozens of keyboards and with clients too. They matched the requirements. In the case of TVC keyboards, the trial period is 6 months, for Commodore keyboards, it is more than 3/4 years!
We didn't receive any remarks during this time, and all keyboard contacts have been in perfect condition ever since.
The graphite mixture is a non-commercial preparation developed and prepared by us.
Commercially available graphite repair products are products designed to repair remote control contacts. We do not claim that these products are not good for keyboards, but we haven't tested them, so we have no experience with them either.
We do a full cleaning and chemical washing contemporaneously with repairing keyboards.
If you have such a keyboard, please mail it to us, and we mail it back repaired approx. in a week.
Developing additional types of keyboard repair is in progress. Regarding that, please pay attention to the pages of the Commodore Service.
